Tottenham picked up a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday evening in Premier League action.
Spurs opened the scoring after just 16 minutes with Timo Werner's cross guided into his own net by Murillo. Despite dominating the opening stages, Forest grabbed an equaliser with Chris Wood turning home Ola Aina's cut-back. The Lilywhites were then fortunate to enter the break level with Wood striking the post from point-blank range.
Ange Postecoglou made a double change at half-time with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur on in place of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma. Following on from that decision, Micky van de Ven thundered in a delightful strike following a short-corner routine to put Spurs back in front.
Pedro Porro then increased the hosts' advantage as he guided home a cross from James Maddison despite a slight headed touch from Bentancur. With United and Villa dropping points, Spurs picking up a win was vital following their midweek disappointment and the three points gained saw them break into the top four.
With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at Spurs' upcoming brutal fixture run-in and compared it to the tasks awaiting Man United and Aston Villa.
Newcastle (A) – Premier League – April 13For Tottenham, the next few weeks will be absolutely vital to their Champions League qualification hopes. A trip to Newcastle kicks off a run of four games where Spurs could come away with zero points given the size of the task that awaits.
Last season, in this fixture, Spurs were blown away in the first half and went on to lose 6-1. The Magpies picking up another win against Fulham this past Saturday has brought them back into the conversation for a European spot and they will therefore be eyeing another three points at the expense of Spurs.

Arsenal (H) – Premier League – April 28The North London Derby arrives at the end of April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the final result could have huge ramifications. While Spurs are pushing to finish in the top four, the Gunners are battling against Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.
Postecoglou secured a draw in the reverse fixture and taking more points off Arsenal will likely prove vital in the title race and battle for Europe.
Chelsea (A) - Premier League - May 2Another London derby is up next for Tottenham as they make the trip to Stamford Bridge for a clash against Chelsea.
The Blues have been extremely inconsistent this season but they are still in with a chance of qualifying for Europe next season and doing the double over Spurs would certainly help their case.
Liverpool (A) – Premier League – May 5Spurs' potential impact on the title race could grow in early May when they take on Liverpool at Anfield. A last-gasp goal saw the Lilywhites win the three points in the reverse fixture and that defeat remains as just one of two that Jurgen Klopp's side have suffered in the league this season.
A chaotic seven-goal thriller took place last season and given both teams' gung-ho approach, another goal-fest could follow.
Burnley (H) – Premier League – May 11The intense run of fixtures for Tottenham comes to an end when Spurs take on Burnley. While Vincent Kompany's side are fighting for their life, it certainly won't be an easy fixture despite Spurs being obvious favourites.
A Son Heung-min hat-trick helped Spurs win the away fixture 5-2 and improving their goal difference could be decisive again as they eye a European place.
