RTE star Patrick Kielty shared a special festive message from the Queen of Christmas on tonight's Late Late Toy Show.

Singing sensation Mariah Carey burst onto the screen wishing viewers a very "Happy Christmas".

Speaking on the show Mariah said: “Hello to everyone watching the toy show tonight.

“It's Mariah Carey here, and I wanted to wish each and every one of you a wonderful Christmas on what I believe is the most magical night of the year.

“And to all the amazing kids taking part in this year's show, I want you to know that you are all superstars.

“So go out there and have the time of your lives.

"And remember you got this. Happy Christmas.”

Patrick reminded the audience that ‘All I want for Christmas’ and Mariah's Christmas album are 30 years old this year.

As the Toy Show Queen of Christmas prepared to close the show, Kielty had a very special surprise for her.

She was given with trip to Las Vegas, along with her mum, to see Mariah Carey in concert.

The live audience went wild as she belted out “All I want For Christmas” as the Home Alone themed show came to a close.

This year’s show was bursting with talent from children all over the country.

Toy Show star steals the show with hilarious segment

One performer that stole viewer’s hearts was by a young drummer who delivered his own rendition of AC/DC's Thunderstruck.

Liam Curran performed his own version of the song to kick off the launch of the Toy Show's annual appeal.

Liam dazzled viewers as he shredded his was through a performance of the rock song dressed up just like the band's front man Angus Young.

During the performance the Montrose studio audience was delighted as they infused the rock song with a fabulous performance of Irish dancing.

Dozens of young dancers dressed up in black t-shirts with silver lightning bolts lined-uop infrot of the Home Alone themed set as they jigged to the beat.

Later on the in show, Patrick left viewers "sobbing" after he brought out a special guest.

Patrick brought out a little Labrador puppy, wearing a red cape, and said: "What could possibly go wrong? I know how cute is this little one.

"This is Star. Behave yourself, I know. Star is our special guest tonight.

"Honestly, she has been as good as as gold all day."

Patrick chuckled: "Now, someone did find a little puddle on the floor during the commercial break, but I'm happy to admit that the toy should be very nerve-wracking and it wasn't the dog."

Paddy explained how Star is a puppy in training with Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, which is one of the many beneficiaries of the Toy Show Appeal.

Tonight’s show has already raised a whopping €4.15 million for this year's Toy Show Appeal.
