Conor McGregor's fiancee is standing by the UFC star after he was found to have assaulted a woman in Dublin six years ago.
Dee Devlin insists that she dealt with said issues a number of years ago privately, and that the two have come out stronger than ever as a result. McGregor was found liable for the assault of Nikita Hand in a hotel in the Irish capital in 2018, with a civil jury awarding her more than $250,000 (£200K) in damages on Friday (November 22).
However, McGregor insists that he will appeal the decision, stating that the sexual activity between himself and Ms Hand was consensual. Now, in a statement on social media, Devlin has wrote: "Conor and I dealt with these issues privately many years ago, as should be done in a relationship and we have come out stronger than ever.

"I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me. As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision.
"I can’t go back and I will move forward. I am beyond grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That’s it. No more. Getting back to the gym - the fight game awaits!" It comes as a number of major British retailers have decided to pull alcoholic drinks associated with McGregor from shelves, while his Proper No. 12 whiskey - which he sold his stake in for more than $125million (£100m) back in 2021 - will no longer carry his name.
Meanwhile, a popular video game developer decided to pull content featuring the MMA star on Monday. McGregor hasn't fought under the UFC banner since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier - a fight which saw him suffer a leg break - and it is unknown as to whether the organization will allow him to return to compete.
