Megan Fox wants to set the record straight about her plastic surgery.
During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the actor told host Alex Cooper there continues to be stigma around the topic.
"I'm not going to win," said Fox. "However, I'm hoping it sets some people free." The 37-year-old went on to list the procedures she has and has not had.
“I’ve never had a facelift of any kind," Fox explained. "So no midface lift, no lateral brow lift, although I would like one."
She continued: "I'll never have any fat removed. I'm a very lean person that doesn’t have enough body fat or fat in my face, so I'll only ever put fat in."
Fox added that she's never had liposuction or body contouring before talking about procedures she has opted for. These included multiple boob jobs: "I had my boobs done when I was 21 or 22 and I had them redone after I was finished breastfeeding my kids," she explained, before revealing she had the procedure redone recently.
She continued: "I don't like surgery. My body does not react well to general anaesthesia (...) I don't take surgery lightly and therefore I have not had many of them."
Later in the podcast, Fox also discussed rhinoplasty. "I've literally been accused of having six, seven, eight rhinoplasty surgeries," she acknowledged. "I haven’t had a rhinoplasty since, I’m going to say 23. It's been well over a decade. I’ve not touched my nose since then."
Finally, she said she's undergone another procedure recently but she chose to keep the details to herself. "It was really good and it’s not a known plastic surgery. People don’t even really know about it," she said.
During the conversation, Fox said social media trolls often accuse her of not being "transparent" with her followers - but noted women who speak openly about decisions they've made about their own bodies also face harsh criticism.
While it's important to be clear about the risks associated with plastic surgery, let's also remember nobody should be attacking women who opt for plastic surgery: trolling and bullying is never okay - and it can be incredibly harmful.
