TV legend Carol Vorderman had a charming reaction after learning that an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant counts her as their crush. In Tuesday's episode, the camp saw a bit of excitement as eight campmates received their luxury items, with one in particular catching viewers’ attention.
Melvin Odoom was all smiles as he unwrapped his gift to find a pillow adorned with family photos and the surprising addition of Countdown icon Carol. “My dad, my mum and Carol Vorderman. “I have been a fan of Carol Vorderman for a very long time, in fact I have a little rap,” he shared. “I know a woman so fine, she's mature like a fine wine. The mandem can't comprehend my 10 out of 10 Carol Vorderman, woo I wanna work her out, check your DMs girl and I'll be waiting."
Carol, who knows what it’s like to be in the jungle from her own stint on I’m A Celeb, offered a warm response to Melvin’s tribute and present, reports OK! While on the companion show I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked, the celebrated maths whizz, aged 63, sent a voice message to Melvin, aged 44, assuring him of her support. “Melvin, I'm blushing redder than that leather red dress I'm wearing on your pillowcase. But I'll be rooting for you all the way through, and see you on the other side," Carol voiced delightfully.
Viewers were left stunned by Melvin's unusual luxury item choice on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! One social media user commented: "I didn't think a luxury item would beat the Jane McDonald photo but Melvin and his Carol Vorderman pillow has officially taken the top spot. #ImACeleb".

Meanwhile, camp leaders Tulisa and Alan Halsall assigned initial tasks to the campmates as they began their jungle journey. Danny Jones and Melvin were appointed as camp cooks, while Coleen Rooney and GK Barry took on dish duty. Jane Moore and Dean McCullough were tasked with camp upkeep, leaving Barry McGuigan and Oti Mabuse responsible for water supply.
