Michael J. Fox got a standing ovation as he presented the award for best film at the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, closing out the night on a high note.
Fox was on hand at London's Royal Festival Hall to give the honor to Oppenheimer, which won seven categories throughout the award show. Actors like Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie were seen rising up to clap for Fox as cheers rang out throughout the venue.
The actor, 62, used a wheelchair to enter the stage, before standing at the podium and launching into the intro for the category.
"There's a reason why they say movies are magic, because movies can change your day. They can change your outlook, and sometimes even your life," Fox said.
Fox attended the BAFTAs with his wife of 35 years, Tracy Pollan. While Fox wore all black for the occasion, Pollan opted for a white, short-sleeved dress with dramatic silver embellishments on the chest.

Late last year, Fox got candid about living with Parkinson's disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1991.
"Positivity is really sincere and I really feel it, and it's genuine, but it's hard fought, and it's hard won," Fox told CBS Mornings about sometimes feeling depression and doubt when he thinks about his diagnosis. He said he has to stop and remind himself, "It's not that bad.' "
The 2024 BAFTA Awards were held in London and streamed on BritBox in the U.S. on a tape delay.
