Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is reportedly the Saudi Pro League's 'dream' summer signing for summer 2025.
Last week, following Liverpool's 3-2 win over Southampton, Salah broke cover to talk to reporters about not having been offered a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in the summer. The Egyptian has been in red hot form so far this season, having scored 10 goals in 12 Premier League games.
But, with no new deal currently on the horizon, the 32-year-old can speak to clubs interested in signing him in January, which would see Salah leave on a free. Additionally, he might not be the only one to depart, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also out of contract in the summer.

While the latter of those two is rumoured to be close to extending his contract at Liverpool, Salah's future remains in doubt. Liverpool appear to be weighing up whether or not to give out a bumper new deal to a player who will be 33 entering next season.
Should he not extend his deal, then the Saudi Pro League will look to make Salah their number one priority this summer. According to the Mail, Saudi Pro League chiefs would be willing to pay the Egyptian wages that would match, or eclipse, that of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on a reported $224m (£177m/$212m) a year.
They believe that by bringing Salah, a popular and famous figure in the Arab world, would be a real statement of intent, with the Liverpool forward currently still at the top of his game. They tried to land Salah back in 2023, with Al-Ittihad testing Liverpool's resolve at the end of the summer transfer window, only for the Reds to reject a monstrous bid due to having no time to replace Salah.
However, Liverpool could be set to lose him on a free if they don't meet his contract demands, with Salah having made it clear his preference would be to stay at Anfield for the foreseeable future.
Liverpool.com says: "Losing Salah on a free just two seasons after Liverpool turned down an offer of around $189m (£150m) would be a gut punch to FSG - but an even bigger one for supporters who all want the Egyptian to stay. Salah is in excellent form and does not look to be showing any signs of decline. That said, decline is hard to predict and it could come at any point. But the reality is it would cost a fortune to replace the Egyptian's goals, and every other Premier League team would celebrate if they did not have to face Salah next season."
