15-year-old Rossa Bracken, Johnsborough, Mountrath, put his photography skills to good use on Tuesday night and snapped the beautiful moon at 3.20am.

Astronomy Ireland said Tuesday's eclipse was especially rare as the full Moon was a Super Moon meaning the Moon was at its closest to Earth. A Super Moon occurs when the Moon appears 30% brighter and 14% bigger in the sky.

Rossa is a passionate wildlife photographer and picked up a camera at the age of 11 and has been honing his skill since. He shares his photos on social media and even brought out a calendar for family and friends at the age of 12.
