Long time fans of Mrs Brown's Boys may have no idea that a lot of the characters are actually related.
Brendan O'Carroll's lovable Dublin granny has been keeping us in stitches since the 90s, but became a household name in 2011 when Agnes Brown got her own BBC show.
While Brendan's matriarch is the star of the show, she is joined on-screen by many members of her large family. Rather than shelling out for big name actors, Brendan recruited his family and close friends to make up the cast.

In real life, Agnes' only daughter Cathy is actually Brendan's loving wife, Jennifer Gibney.

Maria is Mrs Brown's daughter in the show, and Fiona is actually Brendan's real-life daughter as well.
Martin Delany - Trevor Brown
The man who plays Trevor, Martin Delany, was previously married to Maria Brown (above) which made him Brendan's real-life son-in-law. They had been married for over 15 years before they announced their split in 2021.
Amanda Woods - Betty Brown
Yet another relation, the woman who plays Betty is married to Danny O'Carroll who plays Buster.
This makes Amanda Brendan O'Carroll's daughter-in-law.
Jamie O'Carroll - Bono Brown
The on-screen grandson of Mrs Brown is also the off-screen grandson - Jamie is the son of Amanda and Danny who are both mentioned above.
Jennifer Gibney - Cathy Browne
Mrs Brown's on-screen daughter Cathy is actually his real-life wife. Jennifer Gibney and Brendan O'Carroll got married back in 2005 and have been together since.
Eilish O'Carroll - Winnie McGoogan
Brendan O'Carroll's real-life sister is Eilish who plays the very loveable Winnie McGoogan on-screen - she is of course Agnes' best friend in the show.
