Iconic Top 14 club Stade Francais are currently in the midst of a challenging battle with Munster Rugby at Thomond Park in Limerick.

Trailing 28 – 7, the French side are staring down what could be a big scoreline against a Munster team that appears to be finding their form under interim head coach Ian Costello.

Adding insult to injury for the Parisians is a pair of red cards to their starting locks for two ludicrous incidents.

Earning the first of these two cards was number four, Pierre-Henri Azagoh, who needlessly swung a forearm into the face of Munster backrow Peter O’Mahony.

Chasing the Munster and Ireland veteran back, Azagoh caught up to the 25-year-old and bizarrely swung towards him.

Upon initial view, the match officials missed the incident before replays showed the full extent of the incident.

Following some deliberation, referee Luke Pearce was left with no choice but to send the 26-year-old French international from the field of play.

Four minutes later and Azagoh’s lock partner Baptiste Pesenti did his best WWE impression as he picked up Munster scrumhalf Craig Casey and dumped him onto his head.

This sparked an immediate reaction from O’Mahony and the Munster pack who got stuck into the lock causing a delay in play.

When things calmed down, the ref mic could hear Pearce almost exasperatedly saying, ‘that has to be red too’.

Stade to their credit have played well despite being down two players and have taken the fight to their hosts.
