Munster 26-38 Glasgow recap and result as Munster humbled at home
Munster were handed a beating by Glasgow Warriors in the latest round of the URC.
A first half rampage by the visitors was enough to build up a lead big enough to withstand a minor home fightback.
The tone was set 8 minutes into the first half when Sione Vailanu peeled off the back of a rolling maul to cross the whitewash for the game's first score. Stafford McDowall got the visitors their second try of the game fighting off Joey Carbery and Calvin Nash to touch the ball down.
Things went from bad to worse as Munster conceded twice more before the break, the second of which was a stunning finish from Ollie Smith after a spellbinding Warriors move.
Domingo Miotti slotted a drop at goal moments into the second half to make it 31-0 and increase the home side's embarrassment.
While Munster did threaten to make a game of things through tries from Gavin Coombes and Craig Casey.
That revival was short lived as Vailanu got in for his second try of the game, with the flawless Miotti converting again.
Munster battled bravely on with Josh Wycherley and Calvin Nash touching down, but in truth, the game was finished as a contest long before the referee's final whistle blew.
