Assuming no one from the inarguably stunning core ends up traded, the Vancouver Canucks will be the number-one team in the NHL this season, even though that’s no guarantee of a top-place finish in the standings or a Stanley Cup Championship.

For that you can thank, among others, JT Miller (especially when he’s wearing his always-hot librarian-look glasses), delectable Swedish bon bon Elias Pettersson, and tall-drink-of-water Tyler Meyers. And don’t even get us started on Arturs Silovs, who’s pretty much mastered the difficult-to-execute Main Street-via-Latvia post-hipster look, or the follicly blessed marvel Brock Boeser, who really looks like he should be riding a surfboard in sunsoaked Southern California.

Thanks to these players and more, the Vancouver Canucks have been ranked the number-one most attractive team in the NHL by online gaming site TonyBet.

The Ontario-based company used AI to judge the physical radiance of every player in the NHL. Photos of 1,079 hockey players were sourced from ESPN and Hockeydb.com. and then run through an AI Attractiveness Function.

The findings were then compiled by team, with Vancouver’s players averaging out at 7.841 out of 10 on the dreamboat scale. According to the study, Sweden's nearly perfect Nils Åman is a 9.38 out of 10, making him the Canuck most likely to get the rest of us mere mortals frantically swiping right on Tinder, eharmony, Bumble, Plenty of Fish, Serious Relationships, and OneNightFriend.

The New York Rangers landed in second place (where was Henrik Lundqvist when he was needed most?), with Jake Leschyshyn the team hottie at a 9.54 out of 10.

And the Detroit Red Wings have an average attractiveness score of 7.699 out of 10, which is three per cent higher than the average NHL team as far as looks are concerned. Tim Gettinger leads the beauty charge on the Wings with a 9.54/10.

Because you want to know, the St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, and Anaheim Ducks are the most unfortunate-looking teams in the NHL. Staying positive and supportive here, we’re sure all the players on those teams are beautiful on the inside, including Matthew Tkachuk.

As for the unfortunate reality that most books are judged by their covers—or Instagram pages—sorry: some of us get to be Dakota Joshua, and most of us don’t.
