A 2007 nail-biting science fiction thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig has left fans awestruck, with some declaring it a perfect "10/10" flick thanks to its enthralling concept. The Instagram handle @NetflixnMovies posted a scene from the movie for its impressive following of 6.2 million fans, teasing with the caption: "If you show any emotion, you die."

The gripping snippet reveals Kidman portraying an eerily composed character strolling through chaos, all while a woman's screeches echo as she's hurled into a cop car. In a brief yet tense encounter, another officer, concealing his own feelings, cautions her with the words: "You're sweating. They don't do that, they'll know. Now go away from here."

Titled The Invasion, this suspense-filled feature casts Kidman as the quick-witted psychiatrist Carol Bennell, Craig as her confidant Dr. Ben Driscoll, and Jeffrey Wright as the insightful Dr. Stephen Galeano. According to the IMBd overview: "As a Washington, D.C. psychiatrist unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, she also discovers her son might be the only way it can be stopped."

Curiosity piqued, viewers clamored for more details on the plot, which @NetflixnMovies obliged by elucidating in the comments section, reports the Daily Record.

They explained: "While returning to Earth, the space shuttle explodes and the fragments bring an alien virus that recodes the human DNA.

"In Washington, the psychiatrist Carol Bennell observes the modification of the behaviour of one of her clients first, then in her former husband and finally in the population in general.

"Together with her friend Dr. Ben Driscoll and the researcher Dr. Stephen Galeano, they discover that the extraterrestrial epidemic affects human beings while sleeping and that her son Ollie, who had chickenpox when he was a baby, is immune to the disease and may save mankind from the outbreak."

The Invasion is a spine-tingling sci-fi flick helmed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and penned by David Kajganich. This chiller is the fourth cinematic reimagining of Jack Finney's 1955 page-turner The Body Snatchers, following the trail blazed by Don Siegel's iconic 1956 screen gem Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Fans flocked to the comments to shower the film with love, one fan hailed it as "excellent" while another went all in, dubbing it a perfect "10/10."

A fan gushed: "Because I loved The Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1956 I never expected to love this movie, which is a reboot, so much. Nicole Kidman was fantastic in this."

Another raved: "Invasion! ! ! Is the name! ! ! But it's basically early 2000's take on the movie the BODY SNATCHERS! ! ! Really good movie." (sic)

"OMG This was one of my unforgettable movies when I was young," chimed in a third, echoed by another who added: "One of my favourite Nicole Kidman movies." (sic)

"I remember this movie. It was really good," joined in another, while someone else shared: "OMG I've been looking for this movie forever." (sic)

Yet, not everyone was on board, as critics back in the day didn't hold back and lambasted The Invasion with some pretty scathing critiques.

The flick tanked with a meager 20% on Rotten Tomatoes, and viewers weren't exactly raving either, scraping together a 40% audience score.

"Good premise but the movie sucked," griped one viewer, while another chimed in: "Terrible remake... Please watch the original with Donald Sutherland. It is marvellous!!!" (sic)
