TOP STORY: Olise set to choose Bayern as next club

Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has decided to join Bayern Munich, reports the Athletic.

The 22-year-old has been on the radar of multiple clubs this summer, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United keen on him, but it looks as though he has now confirmed his preference to leave Selhurst Park for the Allianz Arena.

Olise is reported to have turned down the chance to make the switch to Stamford Bridge after the Blues were unwilling to meet his salary demands before they eventually pulled out of a move for his signature.

The Bundesliga club are said to now be set to enter formal talks with the Eagles to reach an agreement over a transfer fee, though they could sign him if they activate the £60 million release clause in his contract.

Olise was one of the standout performers for Palace in the Premier League last season, contributing to 16 goals in 19 matches.

- Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Lille and Canada international striker Jonathan David, reports Sky Sports. It is reported that neither club are yet to make formal contact with the Ligue 1 side, who look to be willing to part ways with him this summer. David has 12 months remaining on his current deal.

- Negotiations between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are ongoing over a move for midfielder Xavi Simons, reports Sky Sports Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg. The 21-year-old is high up on the Bundesliga club's wish list, and it is reported that they are optimistic about being able to land him this summer. Talks are said to be regarding a loan deal that would include a mandatory clause to become permanent for a fee of between €60m and €70m.

- Sporting CP expect midfielder Morten Hjulmand to stay at the club despite interest from across Europe, reports Ben Jacobs. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be among the sides keen on him, but it is believed that he won't be moved unless his release clause of €80m is activated. Hjulmand, 24, scored an impressive strike from range in Denmark's recent 1-1 draw with England at the UEFA European Championship.

- Clubs are currently unwilling to meet the release clause in the contract of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, reports Team Talk. Several sides, including Arsenal, are reported to have enquired over the availability of the 25-year-old recently, but the Serie A club continues to direct them to his release clause of £109m. Osimhen is set to enter the final two years of his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium at the end of the month.

- Real Madrid are beginning to consider alternatives amid belief that Nacho Fernandez is set to leave the club at the end of his contract, reports Sport. Nacho, 34, is into the final days of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, and he has recently been linked with clubs in the Saudi Pro League. It is reported that while Los Blancos have made an offer to keep him at the club, but he is yet to respond to their proposal.
