The British electronic duo Orbital are set to reawaken the underground rave scene of the 1990s as they take to the Park Stage at Glastonbury 2024.The rave pioneers will be gracing the stage at the festival on Saturday.
Thirty-three years after their debut album, commonly referred to as the Green album, brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll have been revisiting their first two albums on tour this year and are stopping off at Worthy Farm.
The duo from Kent first worked together as bricklayers for their father’s business before they started recording music in 1987. Their first single, Chime, became a huge hit on the underground rave scene and entered the Top 20 in 1990.

Following the single’s success Orbital went on to become one of the biggest British dance acts of the decade amassing a 10-album discography with anthems including Belfast, Halcyon and The Box.
The band’s second self-titled album – aka The Brown Album – cemented Orbital as giants of electronic music. Orbital returned to the UK Top 10 for the first time since 1999 with their most recent LP, 2023’s Optical Delusion.

What time and stage are Orbital playing?Orbital are taking to the Park Stage on Saturday. The band will perform for an hour and will be on stage from 9.15pm to 10.15pm. They will take to the stage after The Breeders and before Peggy Gou.
Where can I watch the set?The BBC will this year show the five main stages across iPlayer, as well as on BBC One and Two at various points of the weekend. On iPlayer, fans can find continuous live streams from the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Park and Woodsies stages.
