I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 is underway, with the celebrities vying for the title of jungle royalty.
Oti Mabuse, famed for her time on Strictly Come Dancing, has been charming viewers and fellow contestants alike with her radiant disposition this season. During an appearance on Lorraine this morning, Oti's best friend shared insights into why she's tipped to be the "next queen of the jungle".
Christine Lampard commended Oti's culinary skills, to which her friend responded: "Oh they've been loving her food. She's the queen of the jungle!"
When queried about whether Oti might whip up a "big spread" when back at home, her friend said: "Listen, Oti will prepare an entire table for you."
She reminisced about a visit to Oti's place, where she was greeted by tantalising aromas from the kitchen, later learning that Oti had prepared it all for her husband, dancer Marius Iepure, reports the Mirror.
"She wanted her husband to come back to a warm house with great food," her friend noted, with Christine concurring that Oti was "doing it for them" in the jungle and calling her a "great campmate".
In another part of the interview, Oti's friend expressed pride, saying: "I'm so proud of her and I love how everyone can see her beautiful heart. The thing is with Oti, what you see is what you get and that's what everyone is seeing."
Her friend also highlighted Oti's ability to foster environments where people feel safe to express themselves and show vulnerability, describing it as something truly remarkable. She shared how "honest" and "filled with light" Oti is, and confirmed she gives the best hugs.
Talking about Oti's first bushtucker trial, she said: "She'll be fine because she's really good at hyping up herself and telling herself, 'I can do this. I've got this.' So she'll be fine. Oti is very brave and very strong and the thing about her is that she'll make sure the people around her are ok. Last night, I loved seeing how everyone supported her, because she's been the support. She gives support away and gives the best hugs like you're saying."
The stakes are getting higher in I'm A Celeb as the first eviction looms this Sunday. From then on, one celebrity will be leaving each night until the finale. Fans will see a new victor crowned, following last year's winner Sam Thompson.
This season features celebrities such as McFly's Danny Jones, Loose Women's Jane Moore, and Love Island favourite Maura Higgins.
