Footage from 2016 depicts Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura.

Cassie came forward with allegations against the rapper in November 2023. However, Diddy and Cassie settled the lawsuit out of court in a timely manner. According to court documents obtained by The Mirror, she alleged that "he raped her and perpetually abused her for years".

The surveillance footage from the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, obtained by CNN, seems to show Diddy and Cassie in an altercation that matches events described in her lawsuit.

The video appears to show Cassie walk toward the elevators in the hallway of the hotel. Diddy then runs after Cassie, grabs her by the neck, and throws her to the ground while holding a towel around his waist.

He is then seen kicking her twice and retrieving luggage that was by the elevator before dragging her by a sweatshirt toward a room. After Cassie stands up, video footage shows through a mirror that Diddy appears to shove her. He's additionally seen sitting in a chair in only a towel before throwing an object at Cassie.

Cassie's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told The Mirror: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Ben Brafman, Diddy's lawyer, previously said in a statement that "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations". He added: "For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.

"Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”

Diddy was hit with a series of allegations in recent months, including five in New York ahead of the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act. He has denied all allegations.

Earlier this year, police raided Diddy's properties in Miami and Los Angeles in connection to a human trafficking allegation. Another attorney for Diddy, Aaron Dyer, told The Mirror at the time: "There was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated. Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities.

"Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush - paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence - leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

The Mirror contacted representatives for Diddy and InterContinental Hotels.
