Who is Pedro Pascal's sister and transgender activist Lux

Pedro Pascal brought his sister Lux Pascal to the Gladiator II premiere in London on Wednesday and fans think she stole the spotlight from her big brother.

Lux, 32, is Pascal's younger sister and often accompanies him as a plus one to red carpets and was by his side for the premiere of his latest movie where he plays General Marcus Acacius.

So, who is Lux Pascal? Here's everything you need to know.

Lux was born in California on June 4, 1992, and is the youngest of the three Pascal siblings. There's a 17-year age difference between her and her big brother, Pedro.

Her parents relocated to their native Chile shortly after her birth where she was raised.

Like her brother, Lux is also in the acting world and studied theater in Chile before attending Juilliard School in New York City where she graduated in May 2023.

In 2017, she appeared alongside her brother in the third season of Narcos, playing the role of Elijah, and has also had a number of TV and film roles in her native Spanish language including the TVN soap opera Juana Brava in 2015 and La Jauría in 2019 and La California in 2022.

Lux came out as a transgender woman in 2021 and publicly announced her transition, appearing on the cover of Chilean magazine, Revista Ya. 

She opened up about her transition in the accompanying interview and revealed how she began receiving hormone treatment in July 2020.

Lux said her whole family was incredibly supportive of her transition, saying in a translation from Spanish: '[It was] something that's very natural for everyone in my family... it's almost something that they expected to happen.'

She said she doesn't mind looking at photos of herself before her transition saying: 'It doesn't make me anxious to see old photos of myself. The same thing happens to me with theater: I see someone who was doing what they liked.'

After her announcement, her big brother Pedro, shared his public support for his sister with a photo of Lux on his Instagram, writing: 'Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,' which means, 'My sister, my heart, our Lux.'

Lux and Pascal are very close and she is regularly seen as his plus one on red carpets and was his date to the Emmys in 2024.

On Wednesday night, the American-Chilean actress stole the show from Pascal, 49, as she accompanied him to the Gladiator II premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, wearing a black dress with a daring cut-out slit along her hip.

Her adoring brother Pascal was seen fixing her dress to get it perfect for the photographers and people joked that it looked like Lux was bringing Pascal to the premiere, with one writing: 'Lux Pascal and her plus-one.'

Meanwhile, another wrote: 'The cutest sister and brother duo.'
