Premier League fixtures

The new Premier League is almost upon us, football fans can look forward to a season full of fixtures.

Starting from August 11, viewers can enjoy the likes of Newcastle vs Aston Villa, Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest, Manchester City vs Burnley and Chelsea vs Liverpool.

With 500 matches scheduled to take place across several TV channels during the 2023/24 Premier League season, it would cost an arm and a leg to pay to stream them all. Thanks to some great TV deals, it doesn't have to cost a small fortune - and you can even watch some games for free if you know where to look.

Luckily, we've rounded the best deals out there so you don't have to spend hours trawling for the cheapest option to watch your team.

From Sky, Virgin Media, Talk Talk and Amazon Prime, The Mirror has rounded up all the best Premier League deals to save you money.

Get Sky Sports FREE for 6 months with Sky Glass TV purchase
Watch Premier League fixtures on Prime Video FREE with 30-day trial Get TNT Sports FREE with select Virgin Media TV bundles Get Sky Sports via NOW for FREE with TalkTalk Broadband

But how is it possible to watch for free?

Sky Sports is currently free for six months when you purchase Sky Glass, Virgin Media is bundling TNT Sports for free with select telly bundles, and anyone can claim a free 30-day trial with Prime Video (cancel anytime during the free trial and you won't be charged a penny).

We've gone into the details below so you can find the best deal for you..

Sky Sports

Watch six months of Sky Sports for free

For the first time ever Sky Sports is showing five of the opening-round fixtures and has the most live matches on its timetable for this season. As well as the Premier League, its footie coverage includes the Scottish Premiership and the FA Women’s Super League.

So how can you watch it? And as seen on the deal above, any Sky Glass shoppers can get six months free Sky Sports if they buy a Sky Glass TV. And there's only a £10 upfront fee. Prices start at £14 a month for the 43-inch screen, £19 a month for the 55-inch or £24 a month for the biggest 65-inch TV.

Sky Sports for £20 in first month

If you're not looking to add another smart TV to your home, Sky shoppers could also make the most of its Sky’s Entertainment + Netflix bundle paired with its Sky Sports. It's currently cut to £20 for the first month (then rises to £51 a month).

The bundle breaks down into two contracts, which both happen to be on offer. Sky Entertainment + Netflix is now £0 for the first month and £26 from month two. And the Sky Sport add-on at £20 for the first month and £25 from month two.

Customers will pay £51 total each month for the remaining 17 months of the plan.

Viewers can also add on TNT Sports channels to their plan for an extra £30 a month (currently on offer at £28 for the first month), but as you’ll see from our next provider, this is not the cheapest way to add TNT Sports channels.

Virgin Media

Customers can get free TNT Sports on this Virgin plan, and it includes rival Sky too

Moving onto Virgin, a network which includes Sky’s Sports channels in many of its TV plans, but that’s not all.

The provider has just added the newly rebranded TNT Sport (the former BT Sport) to one of its main sport packages, which fans can take out from £65 a month. Making it a cheaper option compared to Sky’s £81 total price for adding TNT to its Sport package.

Nearly all fixtures are on the cards with Virgin Media's M250 Bigger + Sports HD bundle as it includes all Sky Sports channels, TNT Sports and Eurosport. Not to mention its inclusive M250 broadband, unlimited landline calls and TV 360 box.

Other Virgin Media plans to watch The Premier League:

Bigger Bundle + Sports: 18-month contract at £65 per month
Includes M250 broadband, Sky Sports HD, TNT Sport, 200 channels plus Talk Weekends.

Biggest TV Bundle: 18-month contract at £87 per month
Includes M350 broadband, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema HD, 210 channels plus Talk Weekends and Netflix.

Ultimate Volt Bundle: 18-month contract at £85 per month
Includes Gig1 broadband, Sky Cinema HD, Sky Sports HD, 230 channels, Netflix and an unlimited SIM.

TNT Sport

Fans can save £174 thanks to TNT’s Sport bundle

The new channel is on the block. Well not entirely, but it may not sound familiar to many as it takes over from the well-known BT Sport. We’ve seen rival providers like Sky and Virgin add it to their own sports plans, but what does it offer for viewers who go directly to the provider itself?

The provider’s Premier League fixtures are slightly more limited compared to rivals but the catch does mean prices are slightly less each month.

TNT is set to show more than 50 live matches throughout the next season as well as highlights or ‘highflyer’ games from the last season. There’s also UEFA Champions League, Europa Conference League and Europa League thrown into the mix too (to name a few).

One of the better ‘value for money’ plans we’ve seen is its Sport for £12 a month plan, which lets viewers pick up to four TNT Sports channels. The Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Premiership rugby are also included as well as Eurosport. But there is a time limit on this price.

Viewers are locked into an 18-month contract and have until August 17, 2023 to buy it before the price rises to £18 a month.

Other TNT Sport packages to take a look at:

Already got BT broadband? You can add TNT Sports on Discovery+ for £20 extra each month and there’s no contract tie-in.

TNT Big Sport package from £35 a month - Includes 4 TNT Sports channels, 11 Sky Sports, Premier League and Eurosport.

TNT VIP from £65 a month - Includes Sky Atlantic and NOW Entertainment, NOW Cinema, four TNT sports channels, Eurosport, 11 Sky channels, TNT Sports HD and a basic Netflix plan.

Amazon Prime Video

Premier League fans can watch for free thanks to Amazon's free trial

Moving onto streaming subscriptions, which may be a preferred choice for those who don’t want to get tied into a multi-year-long contract.

If you’ve got an existing Prime Video membership then it’s good news for you as the live games are included in the usual plan. If you are yet to add Prime to your monthly streaming content you can do so for £8.99 a month.

All fixtures will be released on Thursday each week and the streaming app is also set to show 20 of the top games across the festive period this December.

What's the cheapest way to watch the Premier League at home?

If you're looking to upgrade to a new TV then the Sky Glass deal is for you as you will get free six months of sports channels as well as a shiny new TV for your home.

If you need to switch to a new broadband provider then we'd recommend looking at TalkTalk and make the most of its current NOW Sports offer.

For everyone else, we'd say the Sky Stream + Sky Sports bundle deal is a top option too (it may just be our winner) as the £20 price is half of the monthly NOW Sky Sports pass and there's Netflix thrown in too.
