Primavera Sound 2025

The Barcelona-based music festival will also host performances from FKA Twigs, LCD Soundsystem, Haim, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, Turnstile, and more

This year’s pop girl takeover isn’t easing up as we head into 2025. The Barcelona music festival Primavera Sound will return next June with headlining performances from the genre’s new wave of leaders: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.

From June 5 through 7, Parc del Fòrum will host performances by 147 artists. The newly announced lineup includes LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, HAIM, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, IDLES, Clairo, Turnstile, Sturgill Simpson, ANOHNI and the Johnsons, MJ Lenderman, Aminé, Magdalena Bay, and Waxahatchee.

Among the dozens of other artists scheduled to perform are Floating Points, Stereolab, Cat Power playing Dylan, Idles, Frost Children, Been Stellar, Beabadoobee, Denzel Curry, Jamie XX, Stereolab, the Dare, Wet Leg, This Is Lorelei, and more.

Tickets for Primavera Sound 2025 will be available beginning Oct. 28 via the official Primavera Sound website. Registration is now open.

FKA Twigs was scheduled to appear at Primavera Sound in 2023 and 2024 but pulled out of both performances. However, the musician plans to release her third studio album, Eusexua, in January. The announcement of LCD Soundsystem’s appearance arrived just days after the group premiered their first song in two years, “X-Ray Eyes,” on a British radio show. The record is still not available on streaming.

Charli XCX performed at Primavera Sound earlier this year, one week before she released the blockbuster album Brat. Since then, she has expanded the record with the 17-track remix album Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat. And while a monoculture was forming around her record, Chappell Roan was experiencing a similar breakthrough with music from her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Rounding out the trio, Sabrina Carpenter debuted her hit single “Espresso” at Coachella in April, and the rest has been history. Her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, arrived in August packed with even more hits.
