PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – A Somerset County woman has been charged with making threats of mass violence to staff members at a local school.

At around 10 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Princess Anne Elementary School after school officials reported the threats. Detectives spoke with two school officials who stated that they each took incoming phone calls from a woman identifying herself as Michelle Bailey. It was reported that Bailey was furious over a truancy letter she received from the school and she allegedly started screaming and profanely cursing at the staff members, who hung up due to her behavior. A staff member then called Bailey back to explain the truancy issue, at which time Bailey reportedly stated that she would come to the school and kill everyone.

Bailey was located at her residence in Princess Anne and admitted to making the threats. She was subsequently arrested and held without bond.
