Voter registration deadline Friday to vote in March village elections
TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — County residents are now able to find information on the March 19, 2024 village elections for Cayuga Heights, Dryden, Freeville, Groton and Trumansburg through VOTE411’s national database website.
Friday, March 8 is the deadline to register to vote in the March election.
The website allows users to enter their home address to learn which elections are being held in the district and when and where to vote, according to a statement sent Friday from the League of Women’s Voters of Tompkins County.
Residents of the Village of Cayuga Heights will be voting for their mayor, trustees and village justice. Freeville residents are voting for their mayor and trustees. In Dryden, Groton and Trumansburg, voters will choose their trustees.
The next village election will be on Tuesday, April 23 for the Village of Lansing.
VOTE411, a national, non-partisan voting resource launched in 2006, provides residents with information to learn about elections they are eligible to participate in.
Information about each candidate, including their background and responses to questions on their priorities and issues of concerns are also available to view on the website. It’s supported by the League of Women Voters’ Education Fund.
