Rory Cowan says he never thinks about his old pal Twink as she recalls how he used to treat her like a queen

Exclusive: The panto star had posted on Facebook how Rory used to make her laugh so much it hurt

Former Mrs Brown's Boys star Rory Cowan has said his friendship with Twink is a “past life” - after the panto queen reminisced to pals about how much he made her laugh.

The pair used to be best friends before becoming embroiled in a bitter feud in 2017, eventually ending their showbiz friendship after a series of disagreements.

Twink - real name Adele King – celebrated her 70th birthday on Easter Sunday and appeared to extend an olive branch to mend their broken friendship, describing him as a "special friend".

Captioning a series of pictures of the pair on Facebook as they enjoyed happier times, Twink wrote: “April 6,2017.. Thank you Facebook.. Once upon a time.

“I used to have a very special friend.. who made me laugh so much it hurt.. and treated me like a Queen.”

But Rory told The Star he isn’t interested in reigniting their friendship, saying he doesn’t think about his former pal at all anymore.

He said: “If it’s a good memory for her, then fine. That’s well and good but I don’t think about her at all.

“It’s a past life. I’ve no interest in it. It’s nothing to do with me now.”

Their spat saw Rory fall out with Twink after she dubbed him “Rory the rat” when it emerged he paid €18,000 to get her out of arrears out of Knocklyon home in Dublin.

The feud was worsened when Twink turned up to Rory’s late 85-year-old’s mother’s funeral in 2018 to offer her condolences with Rory telling her to leave.

The irate actor told the panto dame - who arrived late to the service - that she wasn't welcome when he spotted her.

The row ignited again last year when Twink left an unruly voicemail on actress Anne Doyle’s phone - and brought Rory into their row.

Twink concluded the voicemail with, “I have never been as hurt and as disgusted with such vile treatment from anybody as you Anne.”

“But then again, you are Rory’s cousin so it seems to run in the family, you know? If the cap fits and this time, sadly, it certainly does,” she stated.

Last night, when asked if Twink has been in touch to try and mend the friendship, Rory said: “No and I don’t want her to (call me) either. I prefer to leave things as they are. I’m better that way. I’ve moved on, it’s a past life. It’s nothing to do with me now,” he added.
