Rory McIlroy has missed out on a medal at the Men's Golf at the Paris Olympic Games.

A double bogey on 15 proved costly as he ended the week on 15 under par and in a tie for 5th place.

The USA's Scottie Scheffler won the gold medal on 19 under par with Team GB's Tommy Fleetwood winning silver and Hideki Matsuyama taking the bronze.

Shane Lowry shot a level par round of 71 to finish on 5 under par and in a tie for 26th.

Swimming

Daniel Wiffen is looking to secure his second gold medal of the Paris Games.

The Armagh man goes in the final of the 1500 metre Freestyle after half 5 this evening.

He's looking to add to the 800 metre gold medal from earlier in the week.

Athletics

Middle distance runner Cathal Doyle goes in the semi-finals of the 1500 metres this evening.

The Dubliner won his repêchage on Saturday and returns to the track at 8:10pm.

Kayaking

Liam Jegou and Noel Hendrick have been eliminated from the Men's Kayak Cross heats which have now been completed.

Madison Corcoran also failed to progress from her heat after a 4th placed finish.

Sailing

The sailing action is coming to a close with Finn Lynch and Eve McMahon back in the Dinghy competition.

Lynch finished 13th in race 7 and 11th in race 8 to leave himself 10th with 2 races remaining.

McMahon ended race 7 in 6th place and is 15th overall with race 8 now underway.

Cycling

Team Ireland's Megan Armitage is riding well as we head towards the end of the Women's Cycling Road Race in Paris.

The Offaly native is within the peloton with around 10 kilometres remaining.

Tennis

Novak Djokovic is the Olympic men's tennis champion after beating Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets in Paris.

It's a first ever gold medal for the Serbian who's won 24 Grand Slams.

It means he completed a Career Golden Slam becoming the third man to do so after Rafa Nadal and Andre Agassi.
