The Australian Sevens sides head to Toulouse looking to make an impact.

Sharni Williams returns to the Women's side, who went down to the USA in the semi-final after ther quarter-final win over Ireland.

They opened their campaign with wins over the Irish and Brazil before a shock loss to hosts France.

As for the Men, they went down to Canada in the quarter-finals after going through Pool D unbeaten.

James Turner is a timely return in their quest for Olympic qualification, sitting in fifth position with two events remaining.

Australia has started Toulouse with a dream 52-0 win over Brazil.

Maddison Levi had her eye set on the record for the most tries in a World Series season, opening the scoring from deep inside her half before quickly adding her second.

Charlotte Caslick then got in on the action, put through a hole by Faith Nathan to extend the lead, followed over by Teagan Levi for a 28-0 lead at the break.

Maddi had a hat-trick just after the break as Dom Du Toit continued the dream start for the Aussies.

Nathan and Bienne Terita sealed the win shortly afterwards, bringing up the half-century 

Australia Men 49 v Japan Men 5

Australia have dominated Japan 49-5 to start their campaign

The Japanese stunned the Aussies early as they dived on the loose ball for the opener.

From here it was all the Australians as Henry Paterson had the instant response to give them a 7-5 lead at the break.

Dietrich Roache then scored his 50th Sevens try to start the second half demolition, with Darby Lancaster and Hayden Sargeant extending the lead.

Matt Gonzalez sealed the win with a late double as they cruised to victory

Australia Men 12 v Ireland Men 5

Australia have sealed its place in the Toulouse quarter-finals with a 12-5 win over Ireland.

In a tense first half, the Aussies couldn’t take advantage of a yellow card as Ireland instantly struck through Liam McNamara.

Nathan Lawson couldn’t get his boot to a perfect Maurice Longbottom kick as the Irish took a 5-0 lead into the break.

Henry Paterson once again had the answer for the Australians, breaking away to give them a two point lead with four minutes to go.

Paterson then turned provider to captain Nick Malouf to seal the victory

Australia Women 33 v Ireland Women 12

Australia have recovered from a slow start to defeat Ireland 33-12.

The Irish started fast with tries to Lucy Mulhall and Stacey Flood giving them a 12-7 lead into the break.

This is where the Aussies kicked into gear as Teagan Levi started the second half onslaught to put Tim Walsh's side in front.

Maddi Levi crossed for her second to inch closer to the World Series record, whilst late tries to Charlotte Caslick and Bienne Terita sealed the win

Australia Women 12 v France Women 19

France have stunned the Australians to take a 19-12 win on home soil.

Maddison Levi scored her 53rd try of the World Series, breaking the all-time record for most tries in a season.

Charlotte Caslick sprinted away before the half-time siren to extend the lead to 12-0.

Buoyed on by the home support, the French mounted a comeback and tied it up with two quick tries.

Séraphine Okemba completed the comeback with 90 seconds to go to give France their first lead of the match, closing out the win

Australia Men 26 v Samoa Men 7

Australia will finish top of their pool with a crucial 26-7 win over Samoa.

Nathan Lawson got the Aussies off to a flyer to score in the first two minutes.

Great interchange from Matt Gonzalez and Darby Lancaster put the Eastwood half over the line, followed over by Tim Clements a minute later for a 21-0 lead at the break.

A great offload from Lancaster extended the lead as Lawson crossed for his second.

The win knocks Samoa, Australia's nearest rival for Olympic qualification, out of the Cup as their Olympic dreams take a major boost

Australia Women 17 v Ireland Women 7

Australia are into the semi-finals, backing up their group stages effort with a 17-7 win over Ireland.

Teagan Levi set the tempo with a great individual try, bursting through the defence before out-sprinting the cover defence.

The Aussies struggled to build pressure for the rest of the half as they took a 7-0 lead into the break.

The injection of Bienne Terita was timely as she sealed the win with a second-half double.

Australia Men 10 v Canada Men 12

Australia have been stunned 12-10 by Canada in the quarter-finals.

Canada started strong in a tight contest, with Phil Berna's try giving them a 7-0 lead at the break

The Aussies refused to panic and when Tim Clements and James Turner scored twice, they looked set to advance.

However, the Canadians found a way over the line through Alex Russell for victory, holding off a late charge by John Manenti's side to continue their dream run into the semi-finals

Australia Women 7 v USA Women 10

Australia will battle for bronze after a 10-7 defeat to the USA.

The USA started strong as Kristi Kirshe floated across to score the first try 

The Aussies struggled with their handling, making five errors in the first half as the Americans took a 5-0 lead into the break.

Maddison Levi then proceeded to score against the run of play in their first entry to the 22 to take a two-point lead.

With time running out, Naya Tapper went end-to-end to come away with victory, relegating Australia to the bronze medal match
