The duo quickly became fan favourites, having previously been seen on their respective shows, The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea. Their friendship continued to grow after the series ended, and they remained a part of each other's lives.

In 2021, they teamed up for The Celebrity Circle, where they lived together and impersonated another celebrity, finishing in second place.

The pair frequently share TikTok videos featuring pranks and dances, with Sam's girlfriend Zara McDermott and sister Louise Thompson often joining in.

In 2022, they launched their joint podcast Staying Relevant, a tongue-in-cheek nod to their efforts to remain in the public eye after leaving the shows that catapulted them to fame, reports the Mirror.

Sam Thompson's career took off last year with his victory on I'm A Celebrity, but it was during the final days in camp that viewers were moved when instead of girlfriend Zara, it was Pete Wicks who touched down in Australia for an emotional reunion as Sam jumped into Petes arms.

Following their return from Down Under, they launched a national tour titled Staying Relevant, taking their podcast to venues across the country, including The London Palladium.

On the back of his win, Sam is now Down Under again hosting the Im A Celebrity: Unpacked spin-off with Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers.

Pete, meanwhile, has stepped into the limelight on this years Strictly Come Dancing, dancing with partner Jowita Przystal. Despite frequently finding himself at the bottom of the leaderboard, public support has kept him in the competition.

A touching moment on Strictly saw Pete dedicate a dance to his late nan. Following the performance, despite being continents away, Sam supported Pete with a poignant Instagram post, saying: "I think/hope you've seen tonight on Strictly the kind of guy my best mate is.

"That dance meant everything to him. Your nan would be so proud mate and putting yourself out there takes so much guts."

Prior to their journey Down Under, Pete and Sam were the hosts of this year's Pride of Britain Awards red carpet, where they had the opportunity to interview celebrities before the grand ceremony.
