In a surprise shift ahead of Monday Night Raw, ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced her departure from WWE. Just hours before the broadcast, Irvin took to social media to thank the company and share her gratitude with supporters.

"I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share," she wrote in her heartfelt message.

As Irvin said her goodbyes, WWE released a video featuring Wade Barrett welcoming back Lilian Garcia as the ring announcer for the October 21 episode of Raw.

Garcia, a beloved figure in WWE, made her return to the ring after years away from her announcing duties.

During the broadcast, lead commentator Joe Tessitore acknowledged Irvin’s departure, stating, "Everyone at WWE wishes her the best going forward."

Irvin’s exit leaves questions about her successor, as it has not yet been confirmed whether Garcia will be the permanent ring announcer for Raw moving forward.

WWE’s current announcer lineup includes Alicia Taylor for SmackDown and Mike Rome for NXT, with Garcia’s potential return marking a nostalgic moment for long-time WWE fans.

Irvin also expressed her gratitude to the WWE women's locker room, backstage crew, superstars, and executives. Legally known as Samantha Johnson, she joined WWE in 2021 as the ring announcer for "WWE 205 Live" after initially trying out as a wrestler. Her talent quickly propelled her to NXT, and by January 2022, she was the voice of "Friday Night Smackdown."

In 2023, she transitioned to "Monday Night Raw," where she made her mark as the hyped, passionate announcer fans loved.

Her memorable introductions, especially for Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, and Chelsea Green, made her an instant fan favorite.

Chelsea Green even took to social media to express her admiration, writing, "I am so lucky to have shared the ring with you and even more lucky to have been a part of your iconic ring announcements."

Irvin also became known for her work at major WWE events, including her praised performances at "WrestleMania 40" and her emotional call when Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Her work even caught the attention of legendary announcer Michael Buffer, who lauded her skills.

Outside of WWE, Irvin has showcased her musical talents on shows like "America's Got Talent" and "I Can See Your Voice." She is engaged to former WWE wrestler Ricochet, who now performs in AEW.

While Irvin has not revealed her next career move, she teased her fans, saying, "To my fans, my entire career I've been waiting for you! We are meant to be and I can prove it. Stay tuned."
