Saoirse Ronan Bares Her Toes On Red Carpet In -11C Freeze

Temperatures in Utah might have plunged to -11C but that didn't deter Saoirse Ronan from baring her toes on the red carpet.

The 29-year-old star flaunted her big toes at the premiere of her new film The Outrun.

However, fans wishing to flash their big toes will have to wait as the Louis Vuitton shoes aren't available to buy online yet. More standard heels from the top designer will set you back around €1,165.

The Co Carlow actress has been exalted for her performance in The Outrun, with the Hollywood Reporter describing her as a 'turbulent force' in the lead role.

The film, from German director Nora Fingscheidt, traces a young Scottish woman's battle with alcoholism while living on the Orkney Islands and is based on a bestselling memoir by journalist Amy Liptrot. 'It's a subject that I always wanted to delve into at some stage,' said Ronan who read the book during lockdown.

'I knew that as an actor, there's going to be so much that you'll get to play ? so much colour, so many highs and lows.'

The four-time Oscar nominee keeps her public appearances to a minimum and stepped onto the red carpet only once last year at the Academy Museum Gala in December.

Meanwhile, singer Lionel Richie kept warm in an oversized fur jacket as he attended the premiere of new music documentary The Greatest Night in Pop.
