The newly wed also revealed that her beloved dog, Stella has given her a new lease of life when it comes to taking down time.

She added: "There was something in me that was like, 'I need to put my needs to one side because Stella needs a walk', that was so good for me."

Saoirse insisted she hated being dragged off film sets as a child for schooling - insisting it was “hell on earth”.

TOUGH ACT

The Hollywood superstar - who joined Graham Norton on the couch for tonight's episode - said she acted as an ally to an up and coming child star she mentored on the set of her new movie Blitz.

When asked about working with Elliott Heffernan, she said: “I had an affinity with him because I started acting at the same age and I was his ally in a way.

“I don’t think actors who start out as adults know what is expected of a kid.

“They have to do three hours of tutoring a day and they are dragged away from the amazing time they are having on set to do schooling, which is awful.

“I personally found it to be hell on earth, so I wanted him to feel he had another kid on set.”
