It's three weeks since Saoirse passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Her mother Roseanna has shared her own tribute to Saoírse in one of her first online posts since Saoírse's passing. In the emotional post, Rosenanna promised to "keep Saoírse’s memory alive as long as I’m alive."

“There’s no written rules about how long one should stay absent from the world of social media when they experience the loss of a loved one,” Roseanna said.

“I know there’s no expectation whatsoever, and I’m by no means ready to come on stories and have the chats or talk about anything else right now and I feel I won’t be able to for some time,” she added.

“There’s a part of me that wants to give a little nod to Saoírse, especially on the anniversary of her passing each week, which is today,” she said.

“I don’t know the way forward from here, as parents we’re completely broken, as a mother I’m completely lost. But what I do know is, I will keep Saoírse’s memory alive as long as I’m alive! So every Tuesday, I’ll share a picture in remembrance of our gorgeous girl so everyone else will remember her too."

Saoirse stole the nation's hearts when she appeared on the Late Late Toy Show in 2020, making a lifelong friend in Ryan Tubridy in the process. During her Toy Show appearance in 2020, she told Ryan Tubridy the tragic story of how her leg had to be "taken away".

But with his classic grace and optimism, Ryan asked: "And can I ask you about this marvellous other leg you have? What is this? How can a prosthetic leg be so beautiful?"

He added: "You have this beautiful unicorn on it. If I had one of those, I'd have a unicorn like that too because I bet it makes it feel happy."
