Sarah Lavin got her World Indoor Championships off to a flying start in Glasgow this morning, the Limerick sprint hurdler powering to victory in her heat in a lifetime best of 7.90.
Lavin executed a rocket start – which is typically the weakest part of her race – and pulled clear to win from Finland’s Reeta Hurske (7.97).
