Shamrock Rovers take on Finnish giants HJK Helsinki on Thursday evening in Tallaght Stadium, with both teams currently out-of-season and looking to keep fresh ahead of big European ties next week.
Rovers’ season finished with a 2-1 win against Waterford on November 1, a result that wasn’t enough to secure a fifth league title in a row as Shelbourne were victorious in Derry on the same night.
Since then they picked up their second win of the Europa Conference League campaign, winning against The New Saints to take their points tally to seven from three games.

They travel to Athens next week to face Greek side Panathinaikos. Ahead of that, they are spending a few days in Dublin.
