The line-up at the series of summer gigs at Musgrave Park in Cork has been given another boost with the addition of Shania Twain to the lineup.
Famed for such hits as ‘That Don't Impress Me Much’ and ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’, the country-pop star will play the rugby stadium currently titled Virgin Media Park on June 25, along with the impressive support act of Rag’N’Bone Man.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 1, and are priced at €79.90 + booking fees.
The 58-year-old Canadian singer broke through in 1995 with her second album, The Woman In Me, while her third long player, Come On Over, is one of the world’s biggest selling albums of all time.
Twain has French, First Nations Indian and Irish ancestry – her grandmother was Eileen Pearce from Newbridge, Co Kildare – and has been open about her poverty-stricken childhood.
Meanwhile, the set by English singer Rag’N’Bone Man is likely to contain his 2016 hit ‘Human’.
Other acts set to play Musgrave Park in June include Becky Hill, Picture This, Sting & Blondie, Take That, Belters Only, Crowded House & The Waterboys, Cian Ducrot, and The Wolfe Tones.
