SHANIA Twain seems convinced that chugging a berry smoothie or two before jumping on stage in Las Vegas will be sufficient for nailing a grueling two-hour gig.
A nutritionist has claimed that her diet may ward off "gassy" episodes on stage but urged the country star to prioritize protein-rich food and muscle to prevent other serious problems.

Shania, 58, spoke to The U.S. Sun about her diet and fitness regimen earlier in May.
The Grammy-winning artist was about to kick off her latest Las Vegas residency.
“I am an athlete, I have to breathe, I have to project. I have to pace everything,” she said in an exclusive interview.
“I only drink fluids all day until after the show. I drink my food, so I blend my food.
“Lots of blended spinach and blueberries.
“After the show, I am ready to chew," she said
Nutritionist Rania Batayneh, MPH, claimed Shania, a dedicated vegetarian, prioritized "slimness" and "comfort."
"Shania may not want to eat during the day because she wants to look as slim as possible and not feel bloated," Batayneh told The U.S. Sun.

"Shania has previously shared that she is vegetarian, and many vegetarian protein sources can induce gas and bloating.
"When beans reach the large intestine, for example, they ferment and produce gas.

"A liquid diet also digests faster than solid, whole food, which can minimize the bloating.
"Shania might not want to consume whole food proteins, so she maintains a certain level of comfort on stage."
Fans have raised their eyebrows over Shania's unrecognizable appearance in Vegas.
The mom of one has shared Instagram photos and clips of herself performing at the Bakkt Theater wearing wigs and skimpy clothes.

Some followers appeared stunned by her energy.
“She played for 2 hours nonstop!" commented one on Monday.

Shania’s third residency in Sin City showcases 21 songs from the star's career.

"Shania's diet does not look like something you would consider an athlete to follow," the One One One Diet author said.
"Shania is now looking thinner.
"The composition of some of her smoothies is blueberries, raw coconut water, avocado, apple, and almonds.
This imbalanced liquid diet may negatively impact bone density, muscle mass, digestion, and cholesterol levels.

"She would be missing nutrients by depleting, eliminating, or restricting any food group.
"Shania should be focused on adequate protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and micronutrients, including vitamins and minerals.
"This imbalanced liquid diet may negatively impact bone density, muscle mass, digestion, and cholesterol levels.

"When you are a woman in your late 50s, compromising on some nutrients accelerates certain conditions.
"She is a musician and has to endure long days and nights.
"Shania has significant energy output during her performances.
"The diet is not what an athlete would eat."
Shania shot to fame after releasing her first single in 1998. She has continued to work relentlessly since.
Consuming all this liquid can get boring and depressing and is unsatisfying.

The Man I Feel Like A Woman singer spoke to The Cut in 2017 and revealed she gets up at 6:30 am daily.
Shania claimed to exercise by playing tennis, horse riding, and walking.
Shania took time off in 2004 after contracting Lyme Disease. She had throat surgery in 2018.

"Weirdly, she has got this thing about smoothies," she said.
"Shania’s diet of smoothies means she would not have that feeling that she would be full.

"A liquid diet may not give her a sense of fullness because liquids move through the digestive system faster.
"Consuming all this liquid can get boring and depressing and is unsatisfying.
"The body has this physiological component or reaction when chewing to stimulate saliva production.
"Chewing thoroughly can help the body better understand satiety, which is the feeling of fullness and satisfaction after eating."

Shania posed nude for the cover art of her sixth studio album, Queen of Me, in 2023.
“I'm feeling more comfortable in my own skin than I've ever felt before," she told People.
That year, the star opened up about going through Menopause.
"I think menopause was a very good thing for me because there were a lot more things changing in everything about me physically that I had to very quickly come to terms with,” she told The New York Post.
MUSCLE UPBatayneh claimed fifty-plus stars seemed to be maintaining their "muscle mass."
"Madonna looks better, and other entertainers have focused on maintaining muscle mass in their careers," she said.
"Jennifer Lopez is also in her 50s.

"They maintain an active lifestyle that can support their lean muscle mass.

"Shania can turn her smoothies into meals by adding more protein and a base of greens or other vegan protein," Batayneh added.
"She could have fish, do a quinoa bowl with chopped vegetables and avocado.
"She could do chickpea stir-fry and enjoy lentils.
"Her body should be able to tolerate these vegetarian protein sources.
"Shania shared that she enjoys pasta, fries, and chips after a performance.
"This should also be balanced with extra protein.

"She would need healthy fats from nuts, seeds, olive oil, and avocados.
"These are all important when you are in your late 50s.
"I would encourage Shania to get enough protein, especially because, from what we are being told, there is not enough in her smoothies."
