Kelly Clarkson delivered a stunning rendition of “You’re Still The One,” one of the most memorable hits of Shania Twain’s decades-long career.
Clarkson covered the ballad during The Kelly Clarkson Show, paying tribute to the globally-beloved, country-pop legend on Thursday (June 20). Twain released “You’re Still The One” in the late 90s. It appears on her iconic album, Come On Over, which recently marked its 25th anniversary. The album also included highlights like “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” “Honey, I’m Home,” “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You),” “From This Moment On,” and, of course, her empowering anthem, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”
“You're still the one I run to/ The one that I belong to/ You're still the one I want for life/ You're still the one that I love/ The only one I dream of/ You're still the one I kiss goodnight”Clarkson uses the “Kellyoke” performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show to deliver genre-spanning, decade-spanning covers on her show. Twain is the latest country artist whose song took the spotlight on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Earlier this week, Clarkson covered Miranda Lambert’s heartbreak ballad “Tin Man,” (garnering a reaction from Lambert on social media), and performed songs by Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Kylie Morgan, The Judds, Reba McEntire, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, George Strait and many others.
