Appearing on Ireland AM on Wednesday morning, Brian paid homage to his late friend and noted how the pair ‘had such a laugh’ together — even having farting competitions.

Brian joined presenters Tommy Bowe and Muireann O’Connell for a chat, alongside Irish DJ and author BP Fallon, who echoed Brian’s sentiments of Sinéad.

‘We had such a laugh,’ Brian shared, ‘I mean, BP, wouldn’t you say the same thing? She was a right laugh!’

BP said: ‘When people say, “How do you remember that person?” I remember this, this skipping girl with the twinkly eyes having a laugh. Thinking, “What devilment could we do next?”‘

‘We’d be in the studio, you know, and we’d kind of — We’d have like a farting competition,’ Brian shared.

‘See who’d be the loudest farter, you know? In the middle of this stunning vocal from her and then she just suddenly turned and go, “Thrrrp,”‘ he said, mimicking a farting noise.

‘Amazing out of both ends!’ Tommy chirped in, with Brian agreeing and Muireann chuckling at the joke.

Brian continued, ‘I just want to make sure that people also understand that.

‘I remember just if we were at an award ceremony or something we’d be talking about which of the security men that we fancied all of that.

The singer also told the story of how he had been at an RTÉ party alongside Sinéad one night — and the pair were joined by Daniel O’Donnell as the ‘first people to get up on the dance floor.’

Brian noted that Sinéad was ‘a really good dancer.’

The reminiscing led Tommy to note that it was ‘so sad’ that this side of Sinéad was being uncovered now.

‘It’s unfortunately too late,’ the Monaghan native noted, ‘For you guys who knew her so well. For a lot of people in the public, they didn’t maybe see that side of it.’

It comes not long after Daniel O’Donnell shared words on the Nothing Compares 2 U singer, who won him over on Who Wants to be a Millionaire some 20 years.

Appearing on the Late Late Show on Friday, Daniel spoke about working with Sinéad on the celebrity episode of the Irish version of the show, which was presented by Gay Byrne.

‘I didn’t know her well, I can’t claim to have known her well, but that night we had a lovely, lovely night,’ Daniel told Late Late host Patrick Kielty.

‘We were an unlikely pairing, but we got on famously and we had fun doing the show.’
