Dylan ‘Oceans’ Slevin has beaten fellow Irishman Willie ‘The Magpie’ O’Connor in only the second ever all-Irish match at the World Darts Championship in London.

Slevin, the 22-year-old from Borrisokane, Tipperary prevailed by 3-1 against his Limerick counterpart.

Slevin drew first blood by claiming the first set in a 3-2 thriller.

The second set went the way of Slevin again, a 3-1 win taking him to two sets up.

However, Limerick native O’Connor rallied in the third set to make it 2-1.

After O’Connor gained the upper hand again in the fourth set with a two-game lead, Slevin stormed back to take the next three games and with it, a place in the second round.
