Best place and time to catch tonight's Solar Eclipse in Ireland
A partial solar eclipse will be visible in Ireland tonight.
Those who want to catch a glimpse of the partial eclipse should look up to the sky from 7:55pm this evening.
Astronomy Ireland says the event will be at its maximum at 8:10pm and will end at 8:13pm.
It's good news for those located on the west of Ireland, as this is will be the best viewing point to catch a glimpse, weather permitting.
The astronomy association explained: "A partial Solar Eclipse will be visible all over Ireland on the evening of 8th April.
"As it will be close to sunset a good vantage point with a clear view to the setting Sun on the Western horizon is advised."

Astronomy Ireland also warned people of the dangers of staring at the eclipse, issuing advice on safe viewing.
"Of course it can be highly dangerous to view the Sun and a partially eclipsed Sun is just as dangerous – perhaps more so as people will be drawn to looking at it," they warned.
"NEVER look at the Sun with ANY optical aid (binoculars or telescopes) as permanent eye damage can happen instantly.
"It is not even safe to look at the Sun with just the naked eye and even several pairs of sunglasses should not be used."
They recommended using EU-certified safe eclipse glasses for safe viewing.
Tens of millions of people are set to witness a total eclipse across North America, Mexico and Canada today.
According to NASA, the first location that will experience totality is Mexico’s Pacific coast at around 11:07 a.m. PDT, weather permitting.
