Read Seán O'Connor's on-the-whistle report from Pats' scoreless draw:

FT: St Pat's 0-0 Istanbul Basaksehir

Superb first-leg performance from the Saints. Mason Melia brilliant, with Joe Redmond and Tom Grivosti also impressive at centre half. Basaksehir have played group stage football in 4 of the last 7 seasons. History remains in reach for Pat's

St Patrick's Athletic 0-0 Istanbul BasaksehirStephen Kenny's men deserve huge credit for tonight's performance, and at times they looked the better side against a club who would be expected to progress due to their far superior resources.

Substitute Kian Leavy was desperately unlucky with his effort off the post and while next Wednesday's second leg in Istanbul is undoubtedly a tougher prospect, they can go there with real confidence.

Decent chance for the visitors as substitute Philippe Keny bursts through on goal, but then drills the ball into the side-netting.

Pat's are piling on the pressure in a bid to capitalise on this first-leg performance. When the ball falls to Jamie Lennon 25 yards out from goal, he leans back and shoots well over.

Due to the referee swap as well as a couple of other stoppages, there will be 10 minutes of injury-time.

Basaksehir stopper Sengezer attempts to collect Elbouzedi's cross and then throws himself on the ground.

It looked pretty innocuous and the away side seem happy to run down the clock.

Melia rolls Gureler and the defender has earned himself a booking.

Pat's also have a free-kick 30 yards out from goal. It's clipped into a crowd of bodies and the ball goes behind for a corner, which is hooked away.

Anang has to be out quickly to snuff out a chance and, moments later, substitute Joao Figueiredo shoots wildly into the crowd behind the goal.

Another stoppage in play –  Basaksehir full-back Omer Ali Sahiner is now down and he has signalled to be replaced.

With a new man in the middle, we're back underway. There's likely to be an extra few minutes played at the end of the game due to that stoppage.

On the pitch, Pat's have won a free-kick out near the sideline and Jake Mulraney will use that wand of a left foot to take.

It's sent to the front post, where Sengezer doesn't look convincing coming for the ball but the Turkish stopper has done enough.
