Darts fans reckon Stephen Bunting is on to 'win the lot' after beating Madarz Razma to make it through to the last 16 of the PDC World Darts Championship.

Bunting defeated Madarz Razma 4-1 in emphatic fashion to book his place in the next round, setting up a clash with Luke Woodhouse. Speaking after the win, Bunting said: "Listen, when you've got this crowd behind you, can win anything.

"I'm not being funny, unbelievable again, thank you to each and everyone of you for your support because I felt like I played quite well there but he never went away. You guys, wow. Let's go Bunting mental, let's go Bunting mental, nah nah nah nah. Unbelievable. Wow."

Bunting added: "I've got a lot of respect for Madarz, I know what he can do. Unfortunately today he just didn't produce his best but I was able to weather a bit of a storm mid-game. I was so happy with my performance. Obviously Christmas is out of the way.

"Like I said before, if you can't play great darts in front of these fans, you're doing something wrong. These are going to get me all the way through because they're unbelievable, they really are.

"I've dreamt about [winning this tournament] it for the past 20 years and I'd love to do it. But I've got a task in hand. I've got to look forward to the next game now, Luke Woodhouse. It's no easy game, I need to be on the practice board and make sure I'm up for that and I will do but listen, with the Bunting Army behind me, who is going to stop us?"

And it had darts fans on social media delighted to see one of the sports fan favourites make it through to the round of 16. "My world champion right there, didn’t even break a sweat. Great 100 average performance, let’s go BUNTING MENTAL," wrote one fan on X.

A second added: "another W for the Bunting Army." A third wrote: "What a match from Stephen Bunting." A fourth said: "Stephen Bunting needs to go all the way to the final."

A fifth commented: "Comfortable from Stephen Bunting, Razma 199 and 149 finishes were superb. But The Bullet just had a walk in the park and comfortably through!"

And a sixth said: "I thought that was quite a impressive display from Stephen Bunting in the end. A ton average and was pretty much in cruise control for majority of that game."
