Meath v Antrim recap and result from the Tailteann Cup semi-final
Meath faced off against Antrim in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup this afternoon as the Royal County were victorious.
Footballers from Meath, both young and seasoned, have performed admirably in this competition.
With James McEntee and Jordan Morris as the standouts, Tipperary, Waterford, Down, and Wexford have all been defeated by Meath.
Along with Donal Keogan, who continues to be an outstanding player at the opposing end of the field, other players who are making significant scoring contributions include Aaron Lynch and Matthew Costello.
The first have was tight as Antrim went into the break with a one point lead.
In the second half, however, Meath burst into life as they kept Antrim scoreless for 15 minutes to take a strong foothold in the game.
In the end, the Royal county won by two points as they'll play Down in the final next month.
Throw-in was at 2pm from Croke Park. RTE 2 are televising the match live with the game also being streamed on the RTE Player.
