It was announced in March this year that Teneo Financial Advisory Limited had been appointed as Joint Administrators of the retailer's parent company No Ordinary Designer Label Limited.

The administrators then announced plans to shut 15 shops in the UK in April, with the loss of 250 jobs as a result of the closures and cuts to the fashion brand’s head office.

The Ted Baker website is also closed, displaying a message that reads "we are not taking orders right now" and directing customers to their returns portal.

It's not known how many jobs will be lost as a result of the closure of the Irish arm of operations.

Ted Baker confirmed the closure on RTÉ's Liveline this Thursday, August 15.

They said all Irish stores and concessions would close for good on Tuesday, August 20.
