American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims surprised locals with an impromptu performance in a Dublin pub yesterday, ahead of his second sold-out gig at the 3Olympia.
Swims rose to prominence last year after his smash-hit single, Lose Control, reached the top ten in various international territories.
The popular singer made a pit-stop at O’Regan’s pub on Fade Street yesterday and carried out an impromptu performance.
Staff members from the Dublin boozer shared pictures and videos from his visit, saying it was an “absolute pleasure” hosting the singer-songwriter, adding “till next time”.
Swims was seen sipping a pint of Guinness and performing his hit songs Lose Control and The Door from his album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy, as Dubliners watched on in awe of his strong voice.

Since making his debut in 2019, the 31-year-old Georgia-born artist has spent much of the last four years writing his way towards an album that would tell his story.
The result was the ten-song album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1).
“Now I’m watching people connect with the messages and stories and realising not only are the songs helping me, but they’re also helping them too,” he says.
“It feels like all that work on the back end, all that internalising, is finally making a difference.”
The pop star has said that he is happy to be part of a generation that is “finally talking about mental health issues more openly”, adding that his debut album is an “honest look” into his own mental health.
This isn’t the first time Teddy Swims has come to the fair city; he performed two sold-out shows at The Academy in 2022 and performed once again last year at a sold-out gig in July.
