Tesco and Aldi, along with other major supermarkets, have issued urgent recalls on a range of Christmas-themed products amid safety concerns. These items may be considered "unsafe" due to issues such as mislabelling or the potential presence of foreign objects.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has overseen these recalls for various reasons, including undeclared allergens or the detection of extraneous materials in food products. Following FSA guidance, retailers are advising customers on the appropriate actions to take if they've purchased any of the recalled products, explaining why these items have been removed from sale.
Typically, obtaining a refund is a simple process, and it's possible that a receipt won't be necessary.

This action comes amid concerns over the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes in these dairy products, as reported by Lancs Live.
The FSA has identified that the affected cheeses are either produced by or contain ingredients from Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese in Ireland, with distribution through Dunnes Stores locations in Northern Ireland.
