Perth man, 68, charged with impaired after vehicle found in ditch
A short time after a call about a person driving a car erratically, the same vehicle was reported to be in a ditch.

A 68-year-old Perth man faces drunk-driving charges after a report of a person driving a car erratically Monday evening on Highway 43 between Perth and Smiths Falls.
Ontario Provincial Police said a short time after the erratic driving was reported at about 6 p.m., another caller reported the same vehicle in the ditch on Best Road.
Officers later located a person matching the description of the driver walking along Highway 43.

He was arrested and transported to the Lanark OPP detachment for testing.
The man was charged with two counts of operating a vehicle while impaired. He was released pending a court date in Perth on Jan. 6.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
