UTSA announces 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field schedules
SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA track & field program has announced the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor schedules on Friday, featuring one home meet at Park West and 10 opportunities within the Lone Star State during the Roadrunners’ national schedule.
Kicking off the 17th season with Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox leading the combined program, the Roadrunners open competition for the second consecutive Indoor season at Northern Arizona’s Lumberjack Team Challenge, Jan. 17 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Over the following weeks, the Roadrunners will travel to College Station for back-to-back competitions at the second-year Fasken Indoor Track & Field facility, heading to the Ted Nelson Invitational, Jan. 24-25, then the Charlie Thomas Invitational, Feb. 7-8.
The team groups will split up across the country the next time out, with one squad aimed for the Howie Ryan Invitational in Houston on Feb. 14 and another hitting Vanderbilt’s Indoor Music City Challenge in Nashville, Feb. 14-15, wrapping the final outings before championships season.
The postseason begins with the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, back in Alabama at the Birmingham CrossPlex, running Feb. 28-March 1. Roadrunners with national qualifying marks will then move on to the NCAA Indoor National Championships on March 14-15, hosted by Norfolk State at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
With just a short gap between the Indoor and Outdoor seasons, the Roadrunners are hosts in the first UTSA competition of the year, bringing the UTSA Invitational back to the Park West Athletics Complex, March 21-22. The first Outdoor road trip sees an elite group head to Austin for the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, March 26-29, while a larger contingent heads to San Marcos for the Bobcat Invitational, March 27-29.
Moving into April, the Roadrunners are back in College Station for the 44 Farms Team Invitational, April 11-12, with the next week providing a Golden State road swing at the 65th Annual Mt. SAC Relays, April 16-19, in Walnut, California. UTSA will wrap up the outdoor regular season at the Texas Invitational in Austin, April 24-25, and then Texas A&M’s Alumni Muster, May 3, in College Station.
After playing host in last year’s AAC Outdoor Championships, UTSA will travel to Charlotte for the conference championships, set for May 15-17 at the world-class Irwin Belk Track. The NCAA First Rounds is set to be in Texas this year, as Texas A&M hosts the event at Cushing Stadium, May 28-30. The final target is the NCAA Outdoor Championships at historic and state-of-the-art Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., June 11-14.
