YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul faced accusations of fixing his fights by fans when a 'script' of his clash with Tommy Fury was leaked online.
The document - which was eventually declared to be fake - was uploaded to social media by former UFC welterweight contender, Mike Perry. 'Platinum' served as a back-up fighter for the showdown last year. The alleged script gave a run down of how the blockbuster clash would play out.
That said, promoters told The Sun it was just a rumour. They said: “We can confirm, it’s fake.” It made a wide range of bold claims about what would happen, from Paul walking out in a baby costume, to injuries sustained by the fighters. There was also a claim that Fury would suffer a brutal eye injury and that 'The Problem Child’ would win by TKO in the eighth round.

Details of what the boxers were even set to say after the fight ended were also written in the 'script.' Throughout his professional career so far, the young American has been hit with several accusations of fixing fights, including a famous win over Anderson Silva.
Many fighters - including Liverpudlian Paddy Pimblett - would claim during that bout that the Brazilian took a dive and that he wasn't hit when he was dropped by Paul. However, the 27-year-old denied such accusations.
Speaking of Pimblett, he said: "I was really wanting to like you, I really was; you've got a good thing going for you but then you come out and say my fight with Anderson Silva was rigged. I'm sick and tired of this narrative. It's stupid and pathetic; you're disrespecting the own GOAT of your own sport.
"You're saying that Anderson Silva is a criminal, that he is a fraud. You're saying Viacom, one of the biggest media companies in the world, is doing criminal stuff."
As aforementioned, the false document claimed that Paul would secure a knockout finish in the final round of the rumble with Fury at the Diriyah Arena. However, the contest ultimately went the distance. Tommy would go on to get his hand raised via split decision, handing 'The Problem Child' the first defeat of his professional career.
Speaking after the fight, Fury said: "For the past two and a half years this is all that consumed my life. Broken rib, denied access and everyone thought I was running scared. Tonight I made my own legacy. I am Tommy Fury. I want to dedicate this fight to my new baby girl Bambi at home and my Mrs. I love you and I can’t wait to see you. This fight was for you. This belt is for you Bambi I love you."
Following the defeat, Paul quickly returned to the ring against former UFC star Nate Diaz and went on to win via unanimous decision. The American then knocked out Andre August and Ryan Bourland before stopping Perry to set up a clash with Mike Tyson.
The pair are finally expected to go head-to-head on Friday night. The fight will take place in front of up to 80,000 fans at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
