The band brought out their first album, called Satellites, since Mark's passing last month and have been touring around the United States and Canada as PINK's support act.

The musicians opened up on how they've been getting on since losing their best mate and how they made the difficult decision to keep going.

Glen said: "It's been very, very tough. To go back out again after everything that happened was really tough.

"First, we weren't sure if we wanted to do it or how we want to feel about it. We had many discussions about it.

"And I think in the spirit of what Mark was about and what he wanted us to do in the beginning, we knew it was the right thing to do was to get back out there and give it our all. He was very proactive, very positive person."

The drummer explained how Mark was "the bridge" that brought them together at the beginning.

He said: "I think if me and Dan hadn't met Mark, we'd probably be still in our bedrooms playing music, thinking 'It's going to happen someday'.

"Whereas when Mark came along, we were all parts of the whole. He put us together, then we realised what this could be."

The 46-year-old added: "Even tonight as I was driving down here, I was thinking about him. There's not a day goes by that we don't think about the guy because every single thing we do reminds us of him."

Frontman Danny had to break the news of Mark's tragic death to Glen and described it as the "hardest day".

He said: "It was just a bizarre. I still can't get over it. You know, to be honest, it's something you never want to do as a person.

"It's the hardest news and probably the hardest day that I've ever had. I lost my but with my mom and dad on Valentine's Day. And I thought that the worst was over.

"But all of this stuff that we've kind of built up together as a band, it was life changing because we were like Glenn said, we were broke a** musicians. We were sleeping on couches and just kind of going from gig to gig, not knowing what was going on.

"But to have it go from rags to riches in the way that it's gone was an absolute dream. And then with Mark's passing, it's just like I said, last year just turned into the worst nightmare of our lives."

DANNY'S SOBRIETY

Danny recently admitted he spent his days "drinking and smoking" after his friend's passing and has been booze, caffeine and tobacco-free since the end of December 2023.

The singer spoke about the reasons why he decided to go sober saying: "If you're drinking on grief, you're not getting over the grief. You're just kicking it down the road.

"There's so many important decisions that we have to make moving forward. that affect everybody's lives. My family, Mark's family, his family.

"And if you don't give it the respect that it needs and don't process these emotions, stone cold sober, you're in for a car crash down the end."

'NOT HURTING MYSELF'

Glen, who gave up alcohol 13 years ago in Australia, also spoke about his sobriety saying: "I was in a hotel room. I was on my own. And I was quite afraid because I felt so bad.

"And I thought, what would this life be like if I didn't feel sick anymore? I used to wake up hungover.

"And I just woke up one day and said, 'Let's give this a try'. No matter where I am in the world, there I am. I have to deal with myself.

" So for me, I just wanted to figure out what would it be like to grow up and to become myself. And I'm still growing up and becoming myself. But I'm just not hurting myself as much as I used to."
