Dungloe 0-18 Coalisland Fianna 2-9

Dungloe advanced to the semi-final of the Ulster Junior Championship with an extra-time win over Coalisland Fianna in Dungloe on Sunday afternoon.

Tony Boyle’s side were well on top in the first half, with Tara Geoghegan kicking six points and they were 0-10 to 1-2 up after 30 minutes while Ulitah Boyle (2), Patrice Boyle and Aoife McGee also pointed.

But Coalisland got a goal through Milena Mihadjuka and a point before the break to go in just a point behind at half-time.

Geoghegan added to the tally after the restart but it took Katie Wallace’s last minute point to bring the game to extra-time at 0-12 to 2-6.

They came alive again in the final 20 minutes however, with Ava Caulfield, Patrice Boyle and Ulitah Boyle adding to their tally for a one point lead coming to the second half of extra-time.

Coalisland levelled, but Dungloe upped it a gear and points from Cora Wallace, Caulfield and Geoghegan sealed the victory and a date with Monaghan champions Tyholland in the semi-final.
