Dermot Whelan has officially signed off from Today FM after 21 years of co-hosting radio with his best pal Dave Moore.
Emotions ran high for the final show of Dermot & Dave, which is one of the most listened to radio shows in the country, on Friday morning.
The final show reflected on some of the radio duo's best moments from over the years, as well as a very special Gift Grub which saw Mario Rosenstock impersonate Louis Walsh and Leo Varadkar paying tribute to Dermot.

And, of course, Dave's Bad Jokes segment made an appearance.
As the show ended, Dermot paid tribute to Dave: "Dave is the most reliable man I've ever met. Do you know what it's like to work with someone who has never been hungover in work, is there in time... whatever shape you turn up in he's there.
"Dave is a rock, I am so excited for people to get the Dave Moore show in their ears every day and I'm really excited to see what Dave and I get up to beyond 21 years of Dermot & Dave off air.
"One thing's for sure, that man is my best friend and there will be more Dermot & Dave in many forms over the next 21 years."
While Dave added: "It's going to be impossible to put into words what this man means to me but I suppose the easiest way of describing it is he's my best friend.
"I've sat across from him for 21 years in a radio studio, I don't know what to do in a radio studio without him but I'm going to find out.
"He's just a remarkable human being, somebody I am so proud to have gotten to know and to count as one of my dearest friends and I will do for the rest of my days, whether I'm doing a radio show with or without him."
U2's Beautiful Day closed the show, as Dermot choked up thanking his colleagues, family and the listeners and told them he was off "to cry and drink champagne".
Dermot and Dave first started working in radio together on Dublin's 98FM in 2002.
They hosted a hugely popular breakfast show before moving to the drivetime slot.
Nine years ago they made the leap to national radio on Today FM and have been a consistent ratings winner for the station, which is also home to the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show and Matt Cooper's The Last Word.
Dermot is leaving radio to focus on his Mind Full brand.
Dave, meanwhile, will continue to work on Today FM.
His new solo show will launch on the 28th of August.
He recently spoke about his close bond with Dermot and how their dynamic as best friends and colleagues works so well.
Dave told RSVP Live: We are genuinely friends and that is our secret ingredient.
"We don't see being on the radio together as work.
"We are obviously professional in the framework of the working environment, but our job is really to hang out with our best mate every day and have the craic.
"It is unbelievable.
"This connection is a rarity because most other duos that have been put together aren't friends.
"They respect each other, they like each other and they are professional, but it doesn't develop into a deep friendship."
